Jambi Red Zone Of COVID-19

JAMBI - The Jambi Province COVID-19 Task Force said the area was in the COVID-19 red zone or a high-risk zone for COVID-19 transmission.

"Of the eleven regencies and cities in Jambi, three areas are red zones and eight other areas are orange zones, this shows Jambi Province is in the COVID-19 red zone", said spokesman Jambi Province COVID-19 Task Force, Johansyah, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 4.

The three city districts that are in the COVID-19 red zone are Jambi City, Batanghari Regency, and Tebo Regency. Meanwhile, the eight regencies in the orange zone are Sungai Penuh City, Kerinci Regency, Bungo, Merangin, Sarolangun, West Tanjab, East Tanjab, and Muaro Jambi Regency.

In addition, on Wednesday, 25 COVID-19 patients died, which is a record for the most COVID-19 patients died in one day during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those who died included eight people in Merangin Regency, seven people in Batanghari Regency, one person in West Tanjab, and three people each in Tebo Regency, Muaro Jambi, and Jambi City.

With the addition of COVID-19 patients who died, the total number of COVID-19 patients who died in Jambi was 472 people.

Then on Wednesday, there were also an additional 387 Jambi residents who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the total confirmed positive COVID-19 patients in Jambi Province to 21,552 people.

While COVID-19 patients in Jambi Province who were declared cured on Wednesday amounted to 467 people, bringing the total COVID-19 patients who have been declared cured to 15,948 people.

"COVID-19 patients who are still undergoing the treatment process are 5,132 people", said Johansyah.

The Jambi Province COVID-19 Task Force urges Jambi residents to be disciplined in implementing the COVID-19 health protocol by implementing the 5M, namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap in running water, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.
