The COVID-19 Patient Isolation Center In Puncak Bogor Is Starting To Empty

BOGOR - The COVID-19 patient isolation center at Wisma Cibogo Puncak, Bogor Regency, West Java is now empty as the daily number of cases of Coronavirus transmission decreases.

"Today's report, of the 60 beds at Wisma Cibogo, the occupancy is nil", said Bogor Regent Ade Yasin, who is also the head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Task Force in Cibinong, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 4.

According to him, other isolation centers have also experienced a decline in occupancy, such as in Kemang last week filled with 37 beds out of a total of 84 beds, now filled with 27 beds.

In addition, the use of intensive care rooms or ICUs in Bogor Regency also continues to decline. Now the ICU BOR (Bed Occupancy Ratio) is 75.48 percent, a decrease when compared to the occupancy rate in the past week which was still above 88 percent of the total availability of 157 beds.

Ade Yasin also noted that there was a decrease in the number of occupied hospital beds specifically for COVID-19 patients, which was 59.41 percent.

This is because last week the occupancy of hospital beds for COVID-19 patients was still above 61.49 percent of the total availability of 1,971 beds.

The Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force recorded a drastic decrease in daily cases of COVID-19 transmission in its area during the implementation of level 4 community activity restrictions (PPKM).

"The last day we implemented an emergency PPKM, there were still 900 cases per day, but now there are 300 cases per day", said Bogor Regent Ade Yasin as Head of the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force.

The latest data, on July 31, 2021, there were an additional 305 new positive cases, much different from the last day of the emergency PPKM on July 20, 2021, which recorded an additional 962 new positive cases.

Ade Yasin hopes that the handling of COVID-19 in Bogor Regency will continue to improve, so that the government can make some easing of PPKM regulations.

The reason is that the Bogor Regent is aware that the strict PPKM regulations will affect regional economic conditions due to the limited mobility of the community.
