Dozens Of Health Workers In Surabaya Are Injected With The Moderna Vaccine, Side Effects of Experiencing Body Heat

SURABAYA - Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, said dozens of health workers in Surabaya experienced fever, after being vaccinated against the American Moderna vaccine. The three-dose vaccination was carried out in stages, to determine the side effects of the Moderna vaccine.

"On average they (health workers) experience fever, and they have to rest. Currently, there are around 30 more health workers who have been vaccinated, this is gradual", said the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, in Surabaya, Wednesday, August 4.

According to Eri, the third stage of vaccination was deliberately not carried out simultaneously, to determine the incidence of post-immunization follow-up (AEFI) in the body, after the Moderna vaccine was injected. As a result, the health workers have to rest because they experience side effects of body heat.

"We'll see how the AEFIs are, it turns out that on average they are hot", he said.

If Moderna vaccination is carried out simultaneously, Eri is worried that many health workers will drop. As a result, Surabaya could face a health crisis, due to health workers having to rest after being vaccinated.

"They immediately rest after being vaccinated, to recuperate after being vaccinated. If the vaccinations are held simultaneously, many health workers will take a break. Don't let it all be done, and everything drops. That's why we take turns in stages", he said.
