Central Java Governor Ensures Cash Social Assistance Is Right On Target

BOYOLALI - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo ensured that the distribution of cash social assistance (BST) to beneficiary families (KPM) in regencies and cities in Central Java was right on target.

"The distribution of BST is confirmed to be right on target for KPM in urban districts in Central Java," said Ganjar while monitoring the distribution of BST to KPM in Banyudono Village, Boyolali Regency, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 4.

Governor Ganjar who was accompanied by the Deputy Regent of Boyolali Wahyu Irawan directly monitored the distribution of BST in Banyudono Village to ensure that the distribution of aid to residents was right on target.

He admitted that he found that the distribution of BST was not right on target. There was one BST recipient who returned assistance to the Post Office officer, because he was concerned with the Banyudono Village apparatus.

"Instead of blaming each other, later getting angry viral on social media, we finally tell bad things. We finally handled it well," he said.

Therefore, according to Ganjar, the public should be given education. If the citizens can afford it, they will not receive BST and then the aid is returned properly so that it returns to the state treasury.

Meanwhile, Head of the Boyolali District Social Service, Ahmad Gojali, said that the assistance distributed to the community was in the form of rice and money. For Boyolali Regency, there were 62,923 KPM who received assistance in the form of money.

"We in Boyolali Regency have 62,923 KPM with a total budget of Rp. 37,753,800,000. As of Tuesday (3/8), 55,265 KPM have been realized or Rp. 33,159,000,000 or about 87.83 percent," he said.

Even though the schedule for taking BST has been closed, he said, the Post Office as the party facilitating the distribution will extend the period for taking aid until August 14 because many KPM have not taken it.

"There are several KPMs who do not meet the requirements to take assistance. This is because KPMs have received double assistance or double data, transfer, migrate, die and other conditions that are not fulfilled. can still be taken until August 14," he said.

Temporary data entered by the Social Service Office of Boyolali Regency contained 3,537 KPM who did not meet the requirements to take assistance. This number is reported in the data of 13 sub-districts that have been entered, one of which is Banyudono District as many as 500 KPM that do not meet the requirements.

His party is currently waiting for the latest information from nine of the 22 sub-districts in Boyolali that have not submitted KPM data that do not meet the requirements.
