The Golkar Party Politician's Coffee Place Dismantled By Satpol PP

JAKARTA - Paradigm Cafe, which is located in the courtyard of the DKI Jakarta Golkar Party DPD building on Jalan Pegangsaan Barat, Menteng, was raided by Satpol PP. The cafe, which used to be visited by Golkar party officials, was demolished by Satpol PP because it did not have a business license.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Legal Section (Kabag) of the Central Jakarta City Government, Ani Suryani when leading the emptying execution at the Paradigm cafe for the COVID-19 vaccination center.

"Because it violated the rules, after 7 months the Paradigma cafe was running, then it was canceled. It was canceled based on the agreement of both parties," said Head of the Legal Section of the Central Jakarta City Government, Ani Suryani to reporters, Wednesday, August 4.

Ani explained that this cafe is known to be located on land owned by the DKI Regional Government (Pemda). The Golkar Party is known to have used the land since 1973. In 2017 there was an agreement between Paradigma Cafe and Golkar.

Ani said that the Paradigm cafe also did not have a business license. So on this basis, in 2019 the Central Jakarta City Government asked for a closure until now.

Even some of the items in the cafe, some of them have also been moved by the cafe owner, it's just that some items are still left.

"Some of the goods have actually been moved but some have not been moved. So that in accordance with the provisions, that we have the right to empty it, especially since this is an asset land," he continued.

In the same place, the Chairman of the Bakumham DPD Golkar, Hoiriah Irsadi said, Golkar and the Paradigm Cafe had mediated and agreed not to extend the cooperation agreement.

"Since 2017 it has actually been canceled. However, it is still given to enjoy. But we have submitted it to the local government," said Ria, her nickname.

After the cafe was emptied, continued Ria, Golkar plans to use the place as a COVID-19 vaccination center. Moreover, the government is currently pursuing herd immunity for the community.
