The Peak Of The 2025 Eid Backflow, 20,734 Homecomers Arrived In Jakarta Today

JAKARTA - The peak of the backflow of the Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri long holiday is predicted to occur today. PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta recorded the arrival of travelers by train from various regions reaching 20,734 people on Monday 9 June.

Hundreds of long-distance train passengers (KAJJ) arrived at Pasar Senin Station, Central Jakarta in the early hours of this morning.

Carrying a number of luggage, hundreds of these passengers came out of the station's arrival gate.

Pratama, a train passenger from Surabaya who arrived at Stasuin Pasar Senen said he returned to Jakarta on Monday morning because he had started work.

"I returned to Jakarta today because I had already started working. I did not participate in collective leave because the company I worked for was a private company," he said.

During the period from June 4 to 9, 2025, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta noted that there were around 175,093 passengers using KAJJ services from the Daop 1 Jakarta area.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta recorded passenger arrival volume on Monday (9/6/2025) reaching 20,734 people with details, 4,378 passengers disembarking at Gambir Station, and 8,396 passengers at Pasar Senen Station.

As for other passengers, they disembarked at Jatinegara Station, Bekasi Station, Cikarang Station, Karawang Station, and Cikampek Station.

To anticipate the surge in passengers on the backflow this time, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta operates 77 long-distance train trips with details of 41 trips from Gambir Station and 36 from Pasar Senen Station.

PT KAI also appealed to all passengers to arrive early to the station and always comply with security and safety protocols during the trip.
