South Sulawesi Police Name 13 Suspects For The Makassar Batua Hospital Project

MAKASSAR - The Directorate of Special Investigation and Crime (Direskrimsus) of the South Sulawesi Police has named a suspect for alleged corruption in the construction project of the Batua Type C Hospital, Abdullah Street Daeng Sirua, Makassar.

"We have named 13 suspects as suspects at this time. Then it can develop, for the time being, 13 people have violated Article 2 paragraph 1 Subsidiary Article 3 of the Corruption Act," said Director of the Special Crimes Investigation Unit of the Polda Kombes Widony Fedry, when the case was released in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 2nd.

He emphasized that the 13 people were considered responsible for the construction of the hospital. Even though it is only in the first stage, it is still developing the case, which has been handled for more than a year.

"We need to convey these 13 people, only initials, there are doctors AM, SR, MA, SM, HS, MW, AS, MK, HIHS, AEH, DR, AFR, and IDR Their role is to carry out this activity until irregularities are found state losses", said Widony.

The determination of the suspect, he said, came from the Audit Result Report (LHP) of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK), which had been waiting for a long time. The total state loss or lost in the project amounted to more than IDR 22 billion. Meanwhile, the budget for the project is IDR 120 billion, more than the Makassar City Budget.

"We will speed up the process. God willing, we will have phase one this month. This could develop again. New actors will be seen later, where will their participation be, he said.

When asked with the determination of the suspect, whether an arrest will be made immediately, said Widony, there were no arrests in this case because it is already regulated in the General Code of Criminal Law or the Criminal Code.

"We refer to the Criminal Code, from this process, our investigation goes up to the investigation and then we can determine the suspects. Later in the examination process, they will not be able to dodge again. So there are no arrests in this case", he said.

Based on this information, it is known that SR is the Proxy for Budget Users or KPA and Commitment Making Officer (PPK) in 2018. Then MA is the technical implementing officer of activities (PPTK), FM as the committee receiving the results of the work, or PPHP, HS Pokja 3.

Furthermore, MW Pokja 3, AS Pokja 3, MK Director of PT SA, AIHS Authorized Director of PT SA, AEH Director of PT MSS (project implementer), DS as the supervisory consultant of CV SL, APR supervisory consultant of CV SL and RP supervisory inspector.

Previously, the investigation team of the Directorate of Special Investigation and Crime (Direskrimsus) of the South Sulawesi Police conducted a review of the condition of the Batua Makassar Hospital, located on Abdullah Daeng Sirua Street, Manggala District, on Monday, July 18, 2021. Several irregularities were found in the project, which had been stalled since late 2020.

The budget for the construction of the Batua Type C Hospital is also known to have spent more than IDR 120 billion from the 2018 APBD, which is managed by the Makassar City Health Office. The contractor partners who worked on the project are known to be carried out by PT Sultana.
