COVID-19 Update As Of July 31: 39.372 Recovered Cases More Than 37.284 New Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. The cumulative total of cases stands at 3.409.658 since the first cases were announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 37.284 people.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases today increased by 39.372 people, bringing the total to 2.770.092 people recovered. Meanwhile, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 1.808 people and a total of 94.119 people.

Meanwhile, the province with the newest cases was in Central Java, 4.896, and the total cumulative cases reached 381.887. Then, East Java was 4.697 and the total cases were 308.432.

West Java followed with an increase of 4.204 cases and the total cases reached 609.027. Then, DKI Jakarta had 3.327 and the cumulative cases reached 814.653. Then, East Kalimantan was 1,160 and the total was 117.507 cases.

It was also reported that there were 2 provinces that reported the addition of new cases below 50, namely Maluku with 43 cases and North Maluku with 22 cases.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an increase of 6.931 recovered cases. East Java followed with an increase of 5.165 cases. Then, followed by DKI Jakarta 4.963, Central Java 4.592, and Banten 3.985.

"The highest death cases were in East Java with 328 people, followed by Central Java with 316 people, DKI Jakarta with 251 and West Java with 175 people", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Saturday, July 31.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 241.761. Meanwhile, cumulatively it reached 26.280.199. As for the details, 20.186.481 were examined by RT-PCR, 213.122 by the TMC method, and 5.880.600 people were tested for antigen.

"For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 278.618 people", he said.

Then, the weekly positivity rate for people from July 25 to 31 is 30.75 percent. While the daily positivity rate is 29.45 percent.

Currently, the number of people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination has increased by 420.521 and the total has reached 47.226.514, and the second dose of vaccination has been 388.402, with a cumulative total of 20.534.823 people. Meanwhile, the vaccination target reached 208.265.720 people.
