SULTENG - Data and Information Center (Pusdatina) COVID-19 Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng) recorded the addition of daily recovered cases in Central Sulawesi reached a record high of 426 people.

The most recovered COVID-19 patients were in Poso Regency, namely 112 people, followed by 82 people in Sigi, 80 people in Parigi Moutong (Parimo), 63 people in Tolitoli, 58 people in Banggai, 22 people in Palu City, seven people in Kabupaten Banggai Laut (Balut) and two people in Buol.

Those who have recovered have been allowed to go home, but must strictly implement health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19 so as not to be exposed again.

Meanwhile 643 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 today including 156 people in Palu, 94 people in Poso, 84 people in Tolitoli, 82 people in Banggai, 53 people in Tojo Una-Una (Touna), 44 people in Morowali, 40 people in North Morowali, 35 people in Sigi.

Furthermore, 24 people in Donggala, 10 people in Parimo and Buol, eight people in Banggai Laut and three people in Banggai Islands. Cumulatively, he said the total number of confirmed COVID-19 patients to date is 22,403 people.

In addition, Haris said that 25 COVID-19 patients, nine people each in Parimo, five people in Poso, four people in Banggai, three people in Tolitoli, two people in Morowali and Palu were declared dead today.

"So that the total number of COVID-19 patients who have died so far is 595 people. The 5,992 COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing quarantine independently or at health service centers belonging to the local government. Let's pray for them all to recover," he said.

He asked the public to support the supervisory team of the district and city health offices in Central Sulawesi who conducted searches on people who had been in contact with positive COVID-19 patients.

In addition, residents are advised to strictly implement health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

"Prevention is by wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, staying away from crowds and reducing mobility outside the home. These steps are very important to do to break the chain of spread and transmission of COVID-19 in Central Sulawesi," he said.
