Police Are Still Looking For Perpetrators In The Case Of Burning People In Boyolali Because Of Quarrels About Buying And Selling Houses

BOYOLALI - The Boyolali Police Criminal Investigation Unit team involved informants to search for Maryono alias Dogol (50), a resident of Tempuran Hamlet, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. Maryono is the perpetrator of the persecution case by burning the victim until he finally died.

"We have spread out informants to look for the perpetrators who are suspected to be hiding places. However, the results are still to no avail," said Head of the Simo Police Criminal Investigation Unit of the Boyolali Police, Aiptu Budiarto, quoted by Antara, Friday, July 30.

The search for Dogol is related to the suspicion that he burned Bintang Alfatah (55), a resident of Hamlet RT 01/RW 01, Simo Boyolali Village/District.

The victim, Bintang Alfatah, who suffered burns to around 50 percent of his body, was immediately taken to Simo Boyolali Hospital. The victim finally died on July 1, 2021.

Aiptu Budiarto said that his party had collected evidence and examined eight witnesses related to the case of abuse that resulted in the death of another person.

The abuse case took place at the perpetrator's house on Saturday, June 26. The incident was allegedly triggered by a house sale and purchase problem between the victims of Bintang Alfatah and Dogol, residents of Dukuh Tempuran RT 015 RW 005, Simo Village, Simo District.

This case began when the victim asked the house where the perpetrator was and had been bought by the victim 5 years ago. However, the perpetrators have not vacated the house.

When asked for clarity, the perpetrator did not answer, but suddenly the perpetrator committed a criminal act of persecution by burning the victim.

The perpetrator poured Pertalite type fuel oil (BBM) into the victim's body, then set it on fire using a lighter.

When his body was on fire, the victim ran out of the house asking for help. The victim was then helped by residents, then rushed to Simo Hospital for treatment.

According to Aiptu Budiarto, the perpetrators seemed to have prepared everything, both fuel and bags containing clothes. The perpetrator prepared clothes before fleeing.

"When the perpetrator fled from the house, he did not bring his cellphone," said Aiptu Budiarto.

For this act, the perpetrator can be charged with Article 187 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 351 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 12 years to 15 years in prison.
