JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria hopes that residents who are undergoing self-isolation at home will move to isolation facilities provided by the DKI Provincial Government.

"Of course we encourage them if they want it to be safer to move to the facilities provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," said Deputy Governor Riza, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 28.

This recommendation is mainly for people whose homes or places of self-isolation do not allow for self-isolation.

"For those whose houses do not support it, of course it is not allowed. Those whose houses or isomics do not support it, we ask to move to the place we provide," said Riza.

The DKI Provincial Government has provided 184 isolation locations throughout the DKI Jakarta Province with a capacity for 26,134 people.

"There are still many that have not been filled, many people are still using their respective homes for isolation," he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan increased the capacity for the number and location of COVID-19 isolation in Jakarta. Altogether it can accommodate up to 26,134 people in 184 isolation locations.

This is stated in Governor's Decree Number 891 of 2021 concerning Determination of Isolation Locations and Standard Operating Procedures for Management of Isolation Locations in the context of handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Based on the Attachment to the Governor's Decree Number 675 of 2021, it is stated that there are 184 isolation locations in the context of handling COVID-19 with a total capacity of 26,134 consisting of flats, mosques, GOR, schools, RPTRA, to the official residence of the lurah or sub-district head.

This self-isolation has become a hot spot after the report channel LaporCOVID-19 reported that 1,214 residents who were exposed to COVID-19 in Jakarta died while undergoing self-isolation at home. This number is based on data compiled by the LaporCOVID-19 citizen coalition until July 22, 2021.

Data Analyst Reporting COVID-19 Said Fariz Hibban said DKI Jakarta is the province with the most residents reported to have died outside of hospitals or health facilities.

"Once again, in DKI Jakarta, 5 cities are already above 1,000," Said said at the Lapor COVID-19 online press conference.

Details of victim data per administrative city are East Jakarta 403 people, South Jakarta (289), North Jakarta (204), Central Jakarta (162) and West Jakarta (156).

The data was compiled by Lapor COVID-19 from various sources using the crowdsourcing method, starting from reports from residents to the Lapor COVID-19 complaint channel, mass media reports and reports from other verified sources.

In addition to the data collected by themselves, Lapor COVID-19 also claimed to have received official data from the DKI Jakarta Health Office regarding the number of COVID-19 patients who died while undergoing self-isolation.

Based on data from the DKI Health Office, 1,161 people died outside hospitals or health facilities. That number is smaller than that compiled by Lapor Covid-19.

Even though it is the highest, Lapor COVID-19 assesses that it does not mean that the death rate for the isoman community in Jakarta is the highest. This is because the information disclosure system in Jakarta is better, it could be that other areas are higher than Jakarta.
