PURWOKERTO - Banyumas Police handled three cases of violations of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Banyumas Regency, Central Java.

Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Banyumas Police Commissioner Berry said the three cases consisted of violating the curfew by two cafes in Purwokerto and organizing a birthday party at one of the five-star hotels in Purwokerto during the PPKM period.
Of the three cases of PPKM violations, he said, his party has named five suspects, two each for the curfew violation and three people for the birthday party case.
According to him, the two suspects for violating the curfew were charged with Article 31 Paragraph (2) of the Banyumas Regency Regulation Number 2 of 2020 concerning Disease Prevention and Control in Banyumas Regency with a maximum imprisonment of six months and/or a maximum fine of IDR 50 million.

Meanwhile, the three suspects in the case of organizing a birthday party were charged with Article 14 of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases and/or Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine with a maximum imprisonment of one year and/or a fine at most IDR 100 million.
"If the curfew violates the curfew, we will make a quick inspection report so that it is immediately tried. We are committed to enforcing the rules that apply during the implementation of the PPKM", he said.
