Update On COVID-19 As Of June 9: Addition Of Positive Cases To 1,043 People

JAKARTA - Government spokesman for the handling of COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, explained the additional temporary cases as of Tuesday, June 9. A total of 1,043 people tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. So that nationally positive cases reached 33,076 people.

Meanwhile, negative or recovered cases also increase. Referring to existing data, around 510 patients were declared cured. With this addition, the number of patients recovered reached 11,414 people.

Meanwhile, for patients who died because of this virus, up to 40 people. The total number of patients who died from the corona virus became 1,923 people.

Then, for the results of specimen examination, up to 12.00 WIB 11,924 specimens had been examined using the PCR method or using a monocular rapid test. The total examined was 429,161 specimens.

"422 districts or cities have had an impact in 34 provinces and we are still monitoring ODP of 38,394 people and GDP of 14,108 people," said Yuri at Graha BNPB, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 9.

The number of positive cases is uneven

Yuri said that the addition of positive cases that passed the number was an uneven addition. This means that in certain regions or regions, positive cases increased considerably.

For example, in DKI Jakarta the number of positive cases of COVID-19 increased by 232. Then, East Java with 220 new cases, and South Sulawesi with 180 cases.

"South Kalimantan today reported new cases as many as 91 people and 1 recovered, North Sulawesi 41 people and there are no reports today," said Yuri.

Meanwhile, based on existing data, Yuri continued, there were 17 provinces that reported the addition of new positive cases below the number 10. Then, there were 7 regions that also reported if no new cases were found.

So, these examples prove that the spread of COVID-19 is still high in some areas or uneven.
