JAKARTA - Jacob Roberts, a 29-year-old British man, was finally rescued. He was trapped for six days at a well in Pecatu Village, Bali.

Saturday, June 6, Jacob was lifted out of the well by three SAR officers in full protective clothing. "He looked thin and injured," said South Kuta Police Chief Yusak Agustinus Sooai, we quoted from the BBC, Monday, June 8.

Roberts fell into the well because he avoided the dog. The well is dry. However, a broken leg left Roberts helpless to get out of the well.

Roberts' whereabouts were discovered after local residents heard his cries. Local residents looking for animal feed in the area reported the incident to the authorities.

Drinking well water

According to eye witnesses, Roberts probably survived by drinking the little water left in the well that has dried up. Now, Roberts has been rushed to BIMC Hospital in Nusa Dua.

Reportedly, Robert was trapped in a remote area in Pecatu. Pecatu is actually one of the popular tourist attractions in Nusa Dua.

However, the outbreak of COVID-19 has indeed kept Bali locked up for months, including Nusa Dua.
