Army Chief Of Staff Visits Two Border Guard Soldiers Injured By Gunshots

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff General Andika Perkasa visited two border guard soldiers who were being treated at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital because they had been shot while carrying out their duties.

TNI General Andika Perkasa visited the two of them to see the progress of the treatment of Sergeant Dian Herdiana and Pratu Romi.

"The hospital is really caring until you can go home, if you can't go home (not yet recovered), you can't go home. If you can't go home, even if they ask to go home, they still can't, they have to stay here until they can be released completely completely recovered)," said Army Chief of Staff General Andika quoted by Antara, Friday, July 17.

Army Chief of Staff together with his wife, Hetty Andika Perkasa visited Sergeant Dian Herdiana and Pratu Romi as a form of support and attention.

In addition to visiting, Army Chief of Staff General Andika Perkasa also gave a form of attention to his soldiers. Kasad financed the departure of Pratu Romi's family to Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital so that the family could accompany Pratu Romi until he recovered.

Previously, Pratu Romi underwent treatment at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital without being accompanied by his family because of limited funds for Pratu Romi's parents to go to Jakarta. However, it turned out that Pratu Romi's parents were also unable to come to Jakarta due to several obstacles.

The Army Chief of Staff also facilitated Pratu Romi's fiancé to come to the RSPAD as a form of concern for the soldiers. The arrival of Pratu Romi's fiancé is also expected to provide motivation and optimism for the soldier to recover soon.

Serka Dian and Pratu Romi served as soldiers of the border security task force, they suffered gunshot wounds which resulted in open fractures in the legs, requiring intensive care at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD).
