JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ordered his staff to speed up the process of distributing Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) social assistance (bansos) to communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The order was delivered by the National Police Chief after directly observing the condition of the people in Turangga Village, Lengkong, Bandung, West Java.

"In implementing this Emergency PPKM, we help the community seriously. We Collect data and immediately distribute aid. We give the best service to the community", said General Sigit in his statement, Friday, July 16.

The order is not only for all police personnel. This is because the National Armed Force (TNI) Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto also ordered the same thing to all his staff.

With this assistance, it is hoped that it can ease the burden on the community. Moreover, the assistance provided is in the form of daily needs.

"There is assistance from the government that was delivered by the National Armed Forces (TNI and Polri). Please accept it. Hopefully, it can be used maximally. We urge you not to go anywhere during Emergency PPKM", said Sigit

In addition to providing assistance to the community, the Commander and Chief of Police also conducted a mass vaccination review at the Arcamanik Youth Center, Bandung, West Java. The activity targets 4.500 people to be injected with the vaccine.

"The TNI-Polri are coordinating with the Regional Government to determine vaccination targets for red areas. The President's order to check is related to areas that have not been vaccinated", said the National Police Chief.
