COVID-19 Update As Of July 14: New COVID-18 Cases Reach 54,517 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 240,724 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 54,517 new positive cases of COVID-19.

The increase in COVID-19 cases today reached a new record. Previously, the highest daily case increase was on July 13, which was 47,899 cases.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 2,670,046 people and 443,473 active cases," said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, July 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 17,762 cases, bringing the total to 2,157,363 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 991 people and a total of 69,210 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 12,667 cases and a total of 701,910 cases. Followed by West Java which has 10,444 new cases with a total of 477,585 cases. East Java has 7,088 new cases and a total of 210,460 cases. Then, Central Java had 5,110 new cases and a total of 302,861 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 4,119 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 3,066 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 2,735 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 1,044 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 22,373,873.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 41.46 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 192,716 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, up to now, 38,909,433 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 15,611,554 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
