The Robber Who Almost Raped Women In Tanjungbalai Arrested By PoliceS

MEDAN - A woman with the initials M in Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra almost became a victim of rape by robbers at her home. The victim managed to escape the attempted rape after screaming for help.

The Head of Public Relations of the Tanjungbalai Police, Iptu Ahmad Dahlan Panjaitan, said the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 8 in Teluk Nibung, Tanjungbalai.

The suspect named Heslan Syaputra (36) initially entered the victim's house and took 2 cellphones belonging to the victim.

After taking Maheni's cellphone in the living room, the suspect saw victim M sleeping in his room. There the robbers intend to rape the victim's home owner.

While pointing a knife, the perpetrator asked M to serve his lecherous lust. Suddenly the situation took the victim by surprise. The suspect also threatened to kill the victim if he shouted.

"I'm not doing anything to you, you're satisfied with my lust, I'm not going to kill you," said Dahlan, Wednesday, July 14.

At that time, the victim asked for time to turn off the lights. From there the victim ran to the front of the house and screamed for help.

"Hearing this, the reported immediately fled through the back door of the victim's house," said Dahlan.

The victim filed a police report for the incident. The police then tracked down the perpetrator and arrested him on Jalan Pelabuhan Teluk Nibung, Tanjung Balai City, Monday, July 12.

"The suspect was arrested with evidence of a cellphone and the police immediately took the suspect to the Tanjung Balai Police," said Dahlan.
