Monitor Door To Door Vaccination, Jokowi: This Is Good, We Go House To House

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reviewed the door-to-door vaccination program organized by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN). Jokowi visited virtually from the State Palace.

According to Jokowi, the COVID-19 vaccination with the pick-up concept is the right step to reach all people who have difficulty visiting vaccination service facilities.

"This door-to-door is good. It means that we come from house to house who want the vaccine to be injected immediately. I think this door-to-door program is very good," Jokowi said on the Presidential Secretariat Youtube show, Wednesday, July 14.

Jokowi briefly spoke with one of the residents of RT 06 RW 07 Cijantung Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta. When asked how it felt after being vaccinated, the resident named Suprapti replied that he was not sick.

Continuing, Deputy 1 BIN Nayjen TNI Agus Yusni who accompanied the door to door vaccination process explained to Jokowi that today there were 400 residents who were targeted for door to door vaccination in Cijantung.

"Currently, BIN medical intelligence health personnel are visiting community housing one by one to detect people who have the desire to carry out vaccinations. The number is quite large, there are 400 residents, 200 people have been vaccinated," Agus explained.

Agus explained that there were two reasons why residents wanted to participate in door-to-door vaccinations, namely the difficulty of accessing vaccination services and problems with administration of vaccination registration.

"This door-to-door vaccination provides an opportunity for those who want to be healthy by vaccination but are hampered by distance or perhaps hampered by bureaucracy," he said.

The door to door vaccination was carried out at 32 points in 15 districts/cities. In total, there are 19 thousand people who are targeted for door-to-door vaccination.

At the same time, Jokowi also reviewed student vaccinations with details of 15 thousand junior high school students and 15 thousand high school students.
