East Jakarta Gulkarmat Team Assists In Burial Of 300 Kg Body

JAKARTA - East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., assisted the funeral process for a body weighing 300 kilograms.

Head of Operations for East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman said that the body was male, Abdul Fahmi (25) having his address at Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

"Residents can't do it because the body weighs approximately 300 kg. So the residents then asked for help from the firefighters," said Gatot Sulaeman, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 13.

Gatot said that his party had deployed as many as eight officers from the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. to assist in the funeral process for the body.

Gatot said the body was buried at the TPU Kampung Kapuk, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, at around 11.30 WIB.

During the funeral, Gatot explained that the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officer used a pulley to lower the coffin into the grave.

"For bodies that are non-COVID-19, the bathing process until the funeral is carried out normally," said Gatot.
