MEDAN - Dozens of teacher representatives who are members of the Indonesian Honorary Forum (FHI) North Sumatra visited the North Sumatra DPRD building.

They complained about their fate to legislators because of the cancellation of the acceptance of Government Employees with a Work Agreement (PPPK) in 2021 by the North Sumatra Provincial Government.

The Coordinator of the FHI of North Sumatra, Andi Subakti, said that the receipt of 1 million PPPK was a solution given by the central government to resolve honorary problems in the regions. In addition, this PPPK acceptance also meets the needs of teachers who are lacking in each region.

"Today thousands of teachers, at least 10,991 people are harmed by this condition, although later how many formations will be filled, we don't know, just to fulfill it we are not allowed, access is not opened," Andi said, Tuesday, July 13.

He admitted that he was very disappointed with the decision of the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, who decided not to accept the PPPK this year.

"I don't understand, what the governor and people were whispering, so how come it's like that, how come he suddenly changed," he said.

In addition, Andi also deeply regrets why the current governor only focuses on road infrastructure development. So the word puts aside the fate of the teachers who have served for decades and hope to be appointed as ASN.

"Has he forgotten how Emperor Hiro was when the atomic bomb fell, only two were asked. How many teachers were alive and how many doctors were alive, he took this from these two," he said.

"How come we're back now, we don't understand what the governor's benchmark is, or who the prompter is that he forgets," he added.

Therefore, he continued, they hope that the North Sumatra DPRD can provide answers to the complaints they submitted and question it to the North Sumatra Education Office and the Governor of North Sumatra Edy Rahmayadi.

Meanwhile, a member of Commission E of the North Sumatra DPRD, Hendra Cipta, said that to this day his party had not received an explanation as to why the 2021 PPPK acceptance was cancelled.

"This should be very sensitive, because this is the hope of our teachers. Not necessarily next year there will be another central government program to recruit civil servants through this route," said Hendra.

Therefore, his party will ask for an explanation from the North Sumatra provincial government in order to continue receiving this PPPK.
