PDIP: Individual Mutual Cooperation Vaccine Encourages Acceleration Of COVID-19 Vaccination

JAKARTA - The PDI-P supports the government's policy through the Gotong Royong vaccine, which reaches corporations and individuals with affluent economies. PDIP believes that the provision of free vaccines for the community will continue to be intensified and monitored by President Joko Widodo.

"When the pandemic peaked again due to the delta variant virus, there was an aspiration that as an effort to accelerate vaccines, especially among corporations, private sector, and economically capable individuals, a space for mutual cooperation for vaccines was opened, at their own expense, as well as a form of mutual cooperation to alleviate the government's burden," said PDIP Secretary General Hasyo Kristiyanto in a written statement, Monday, July 12.

With the introduction of the mutual cooperation vaccine, the speed of vaccine delivery can be done through the participation of corporations, the private sector and citizens who are economically capable.

"So the mutual cooperation vaccine is a form of participation by some components of the nation who want to help the government. In addition, free vaccines will continue to be given even more massively. This form of participation must be appreciated. Because in a pandemic situation, the speed of massive vaccine delivery will reduce the rate of transmission of COVID -19," he continued.

In difficult conditions, according to Hasto, the government continues to open spaces for communication and coordination, so the spirit of mutual cooperation continues to be put forward.

"We support the dissemination of Gotong Royong vaccination to the community. In principle, free vaccines are provided for all people, but for those who are able and want to choose the type of vaccine and the timing of the injection themselves, it can be done with the mutual cooperation vaccine," he said.

“The choice is entirely in the community. Solidarity for the people and various initiatives from the government, SOEs, private corporations, individuals and groups, and all elements of society continue to be put forward. Accelerating vaccination is one of the policies, which is integrated with other policies," added Hasto.

In addition, PDIP also invites all corporations, both private and state-owned, to use the allocation of CSR funds to help the people, either through the assistance of COVID-19 prevention drugs, vitamins and public kitchen assistance.

"All sympathizers, members and party cadres must work together, put forward concrete actions rather than talk," said Hasto.
