Caught Hanging Out During Emergency PPKM, 8 Dishub Officers Fired Anies

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan fired eight officers from the DKI Transportation Agency. They were caught gathering and hanging out during Emergency PPKM.

This dismissal was carried out in an apple in the afternoon at the DKI City Hall. The head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that they were proven to have violated the rules in the DKI Governor's Decree Number 875 of 2021 concerning Emergency PPKM.

"Due to a violation of existing regulations, we have carried out a strict examination of the ranks of the Transportation Agency who violated the regulations. We have met the elements to be given a severe category of sanctions, namely termination of employment and will be implemented starting today," said Syafrin at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Friday, 9 July.

Syafrin said the dismissal was a warning to all ranks of the Transportation Service in carrying out their duties. Where, they must obey all existing regulations.

In addition, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is currently focusing on handling COVID-19 properly, in terms of monitoring the implementation of the governor's decision and also residents who carry out violations under strict supervision.

"As I have always conveyed to all ranks of the Transportation Agency that we must also implement the provisions stipulated in the governor's regulation," he said.

Previously circulated on social media a video showing a number of Dishub officers gathered at a coffee shop. This video was recorded by a resident.

In the video recording, a resident admitted that he had just been dismissed by Dishub officers for gathering at a coffee shop at night.

However, after that, a number of officers did not leave the place and instead hung out at the shop and enjoyed sipping coffee. Several officers' vehicles were seen parked in front of the shop.

"Still hanging out, we're disbanded. I'm recording the main thing. From Dishub everything is gathering, we can't hang out. These cars and motorbikes (Dishub operations) are there," said the video recorder.
