Don't Play Games, The Distribution Of Oxygen Cylinders In Bandung Is Strictly Monitored

JAKARTA - The Department of Trade and Industry of Bandung City, West Java, strictly supervises the distribution of oxygen cylinders for medical needs. This is to avoid scarcity amid the increasing COVID-19 pandemic.

Head of Disdagin Bandung, Elly Wasliah, said that there are 28 oxygen cylinder distribution agents in Bandung.

According to him, they have been asked to distribute for medical needs, both to hospitals and to COVID-19 patients directly.

"It was agreed that residents only need to come to agents in Bandung. Agents also have cooperation with hospitals. He has a list of isoman patients. It must be strict because supplies are limited," he said in Bandung, West Java, as reported by Antara, Thursday, July 8.

Elly said oxygen production in Bandung currently reaches 22,800-25,800 cubic meters per day, so that the supply is guaranteed to be safe.

He did not deny that previously the city of Bandung experienced a shortage of oxygen cylinders. This, he said, was caused by obstacles at the place of origin of production.

Elly explained that there are three companies that supply oxygen cylinders to Bandung, namely PT Samator Cibitung Bekasi, PT Linde Cilegon Banten, and PT Iwatani Industrial Gas Indonesia Karawang.

Meanwhile, there are five oxygen filling stations in Bandung, namely PT Aneka Gas Industri (AGI) which produces 7,000-8,000 cubic meters equivalent to 1,100 medical cylinders containing six cubic meters.

Then, PT Samator Gas Industri (SGI) on Jalan Hospital and PT Sari Angin on Jalan Sudirman are capable of producing 4,000-5,000 cubic meters.

Then, PT Trijaya Gesesindo can produce 2,400 cubic meters and PT Sarana Prima Gasindo can also produce 2,400 cubic meters of oxygen cylinders.

"According to the mayor's direction, the oxygen filling station focuses on hospitals and health centers," he said.
