The Death Rate Due To COVID-19 In Mukomuko 3 Percent, The Largest After Bengkulu Even Nationally

MUKOMUKO - The Health Office of the Mukomuko Regency of Bengkulu Province said the death rate for COVID-19 patients in the area is now at 3 percent or still the highest compared to Bengkulu's 2.1 percent and the national one at 2.6 percent.

"The death rate for COVID-19 patients in our area is three percent out of 1,049 cases, this figure is the highest of the mortality rate for COVID-19 patients in Bengkulu at 2.1 percent and the national one at 2.6 percent," said the spokesperson for the district's COVID-19 Task Force. Mukomuko, Bustam Bustomo in a statement reported by Antara, Thursday, July 8.

Until now the number of specimens examined is 4,945 samples. A total of 1,049 residents have tested positive for the corona virus. Of the 1,049, 31 people died.

Dozens of COVID-19 patients who died came from areas that had either undergone treatment at a hospital in Bengkulu City or who had been treated at a local hospital.

COVID-19 patients who died came from various professional backgrounds including health workers, employees of oil palm plantation companies and local residents.

"The majority of the funerals for dozens of residents who died are in public cemeteries (TPU) in this area and public cemeteries outside the area," he said.

He ensured that the funerals for all COVID-19 patients were carried out in accordance with health protocols.
