Mayor Of Semarang Inspects Food Stalls, Mr. Hendi Buys All So They Closed Fast

SEMARANG - The Mayor of Semarang, Hendra Prihadi, discovered that there was a food stall opened until after 8 pm, the time limit for the PPKM emergency. Moreover, this food stall serves buyers to eat at places that are currently prohibited.

The mayor, who is familiarly called Hendi, found a food stall in Semarang with a sitting buyer. Hendi asked the buyer to wrap the food.

"It's been opened over 8 o'clock, just pack it up," said Hendi speaking in Javanese, Tuesday, July 6.

From the video uploaded on Hendraprihadi's Instagram account, Mayor Hendi also bought up sales at the food stall.

"Causing cholesterol," said Hendi jokingly until the seller laughed.

"Sorry, sir," said the salesman.

There is also a man who just realized the man who came was the Mayor of Semarang.

"Mr. Mayor," said the man.

"Nope, I'm Anwar," replied Hendi jokingly.

The Mayor of Semarang, Hendrar Prihadi previously emphasized that he had never ordered his staff to spray water on eating places that were still determined to violate the emergency PPKM rules.

This statement was conveyed by Hendi in response to the spraying by Semarang City Municipal Police officers against eating places that were still desperate to accept visitors to eat on the spot.

According to him, the actions of the Municipal Police were not aware of and did not comply with his directives.

"I rebuke the Head of Municipal Police. There are still many ways that can be done so that everyone can follow the rules," he said quoted by Antara.

Mayor Hendi said the action without coordination would be counter-productive and would not get sympathy from the public.

"All actions must be carried out efficiently and as well as possible. Deliver it politely," he said.

He ensured that such repressive measures would not be repeated.

Previously, the Semarang City Municipal Police acted decisively by spraying eating places in the Mijen area that were determined to violate the emergency PPKM rules.
