Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In North Kalimantan Soared To 205 People A Day, The Cause Was Celebrations And Company Clusters

TARAKAN - Positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in North Kalimantan, today added 205 people.

A spokesman for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in North Kalimantan, Agust Suwandi, said the additional data for the positive cases were spread in the district and city of Tarakan as many as 16 people, and Malinau Regency as many as 11.

Then in Tana Tidung Regency as many as four people, Nunukan Regency as many as 56 people, and Bulungan Regency as many as 118 people.

Meanwhile, eight patients who were declared cured experienced an increase in Tarakan, four people in Tana Tidung Regency, 11 people in Nunukan Regency, and 46 people in Malinau Regency.

Currently, a total of 210 COVID-19 patients have died, 135 positive patients are still being treated, 110 suspected patients are and 836 suspected patients are being isolated.

Agust revealed the cause of the increase in positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 from clusters whose history was related to activities such as wedding celebrations and corporate clusters.

"Information from friends in the field in the district/city is that many of these cases are from clusters whose history is related to weddings", he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 6.
