Angry Not Accepting Emergency PPKM Blocking, Motorists In Duren Sawit Get Ticketed

JAKARTA - Police officers are taking action against evidence of a violation (ticket) against a motorcyclist for not accepting the restrictions on the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) at the Lampiri post, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

Ipda Sarwono, the committee for the insulation post, explained that the driver was initially known to be driving a motorbike while crossing from Bekasi to Jakarta.

"After being stopped by officers, it turned out that he did not have a driver's license, and his vehicle registration was lost. From us, we took firm action," said Sarwono at the location, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 5.

Sarwono also said that the motorcyclist's vehicle did not comply with applicable standards, so the police officers decided to take him to the East Jakarta Metro Police.

"If I asked him, he was emotional because the isolation was too long to the officers who were not polite, so we stopped it," said Sarwono.

The Polda Metro Jaya has sealed off 63 points of entry and exit for Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jadetabek) related to the policy for the Implementation of the Java-Bali Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).

A total of 63 points consist of 28 points at city limits and toll roads, then 21 points at mobility restrictions in locations prone to violations, which are still running.

The blocking will take effect starting Saturday, July 3 at 00.00 WIB. Individuals who are still allowed to work outside the home are only those who work in critical and essential sectors.
