There Were 5 Cafes And Spas Raided During Emergency PPKM, One Of Which Became A COVID-19 Cluster

JAKARTA - The police raided five spa, karaoke and cafe places that were still open during the Implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). In fact, one of them is dominated by Nigerian foreign nationals and has been declared a cluster for the spread of COVID-19.

"There were 5 disclosures from the PMJ Dirkrumum and the ranks of the Polres-Polres. The Polda Metro Jaya itself revealed there were 2 cases, then the North Jakarta Police had 1 case, from the Tangerang City Police 1 case and the South Polres 1 case," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus told reporters, Senun, 5 July.

The cafe, which is dominated by Nigerian foreigners, is called Autentik Restoran and Lounge, which is located in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta. Around 81 people were arrested and four of them tested positive for COVID-19.

"Of the 81 people, 60 are foreign nationals. We swab all 3 of these foreign nationals positive. Our PCR is also positive for COVID-19," said Yusri.

"How about trying to become a cluster, all of them. That's why we PCR all of the 81 visitors. One cashier is also reactive in PCR as well. So we found 4 positive there," he continued.

In fact, the majority of the dozens of foreigners do not have identity cards. Thus, the police are coordinating with the Immigration and Police Headquarters to track the track records of the foreigners.

"Of the 60 foreign nationals, 17 have identity cards and passports. 43 do not have any, so we coordinate with Immigration to distribute it to the Immigration process. We are even coordinating with the National Police Headquarters to collect the 60 people, if there are other problems," said Yusri.

Meanwhile, four people who are reactive for COVID-19 have been brought to the Nagrak flat, Cilincing to undergo self-isolation for 14 days.

"We are still processing some of the remaining suspects. Because we apply it in Law No. 4 of 84 regarding disease outbreaks, the threat is 1 year in prison and a fine of Rp. 100 million," said Yusri.

The second cafe is Twenty Nine Tropical Cafe and Bar, which is located in the Radio Dalam area, South Jakarta. In the raid that took place on July 3, three people in charge were named as suspects.

In addition, the police also raided a coffee shop called Take Coffee in the Larangan area, Tangerang. One person was named a suspect.

Furthermore, K ONE SPA Men's Health & Executive SPA located in Kalimalang, Kayuringin Jaya, Bekasi and Mars SPA Pondok Indah located in North Gandaria, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. From the two places, dozens of people were arrested. Starting from the customer to the person in charge.

"From the K ONE SPA Men's Health & Executive SPA, we secured 6 people consisting of 2 guests, 2 therapists, 1 cashier and 1 person in charge," said Yusri.

"Then from Mars SPA Pondok Indah we secured 9 people. They consisted of 5 guests, 2 therapists, 1 cashier and 1 person in charge," added Yusri.
