Tomorrow Is The Deadline, Central Jakarta's Kajari Does Not Yet Know The Attitude Of The Prosecutor Regarding The Discount On The Sentence Of The Former Pinangki Prosecutor

JAKARTA - Head of the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejari) Riono Budi Santoso said that he did not know the attitude of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) on the decision of the DKI Jakarta High Court which reduced the sentence of former Prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari.

In fact, the deadline for deciding a stance will end on Monday, July 5. Because, the grace period given is 14 days after receiving a copy of the verdict.

"I don't know yet, what has been the decision," said Riono to VOI, Sunday, July 4.

The matter is not yet known, continued Riono because the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office is closed on the weekend. Later, it will be coordinated further.

"It's Sunday, apart from the Kejari, the PN (District Court) is also closed," he briefly said.

For information, the Appeals Council of the DKI Jakarta High Court, chaired by Muhammad Yusuf with judges Haryono, Singgih Budi Prakoso, Lafat Akbar, and Renny Halida Ilham Malik on June 14, 2021, decided on Pinangki Sirna Malasari's appeal.

In its decision the panel of judges gave a 'discount' sentence of 4 years in prison. Thus, the prison sentence for Pinangki remains 6 years.

The former Pinangki Prosecutor was previously sentenced to 10 years at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court. In addition, he was also fined Rp600 million subsidiary of 6 months in prison.
