JAKARTA - For those of you who usually use the KRL mode while on the move, you must read the latest rules regarding the implementation of Emergency PPKM. KRL operating hours are limited.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi revealed a number of policies in the transportation sector during the implementation of the Java-Bali Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). During Emergency PPKM, capacity and operating hours are regulated and public transportation in all modes of transportation is limited.

Minister of Transportation Budi explained that this restriction was carried out to maintain distance and avoid crowds.

The Minister of Transportation said that the implementation of the restrictions was adjusted to the conditions of the transportation mode. Especially for Electric Rail Trains (KRL), operating hours are limited from 04.00 to 21.00 WIB

"The carrying capacity is limited to only 32 percent from the previous 45 percent. The KRL operating hours start at 04.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB," he said in a virtual press conference, Friday, July 2.

The following is a description of the capacity provisions and operating hours of public transportation modes during the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM:

1. Air Transportation

Capacity fell to 70 percent from the previous 100 percent and operating hours were adjusted to the airline's schedule.

2. Land Transportation

Capacity fell to 50 percent from the previous 85 percent and operating hours were adjusted to demand.

3. Crossing

Its capacity has decreased to 50 percent from the previous 85 percent and operating hours are adjusted to demand and the ship's operating schedule.

4. Sea Transportation

Its capacity has decreased to 70 percent from the previous 100 percent and operating hours are adjusted to the ship's schedule.

5. Railways

-Intercity

Its capacity is 70 percent unchanged from the previous condition and operating hours are adjusted to the train schedule.

- KRL

Its capacity has been reduced to 32 percent from the previous 45 percent and operating hours are from 04.00 to 21.00 WIB.

- Non-KRL Urban Trains

Its capacity is 50 percent unchanged from the previous condition, operating hours are adjusted to the train schedule.
