The Elementary School Building Is Now Prepared To Be Isolation Places For Residents Exposed To COVID-19

CIREBON - The Cirebon City Government, West Java, has prepared two  Elementary Schools (SD) buildings to be used as a centralized self-isolation place for more than 200 residents of Kalijaga Village, Harjamukti District, who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"We will use two schools that are currently not used for face-to-face activities to be used as places of isolation", said Cirebon Mayor Nashrudin Azis, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 1.

Azis said he was quite surprised by the current conditions, where the positive number of COVID-19 in one village could reach 200 people. Although it doesn't happen one day and is an accumulation.

Therefore, his party will conduct centralized self-isolation for residents who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 without symptoms in the two regional elementary schools.

According to him, Cirebon City Government will support logistics. However, Azis received a report that the community is also willing to work together to help so that this self-isolation location can be operated immediately.

"The gathering of residents who are self-isolating at one point will make it easier for health workers to carry out surveillance", he said.

While the Regional Secretary of Cirebon City, Agus Mulyadi, said that the existing facilities and infrastructure in the  Elementary School building are limited, but the Cirebon City Government will support it with portable toilets, health facilities, medicines, and vitamins.
