JAKARTA - The case of the spread of COVID-19 in the Badui residential area in the interior of Lebak Regency, Banten, is still zero or zero percent. No residents have tested positive for Corona.

"We found out after an antigen swab test was carried out on several Badui residents recently," said Head of the Cisimeut Health Center in Lebak Regency, dr. Maytri Nurmaningsih, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 30.

Even though Lebak Regency is in the red zone for the spread of COVID-19. However, no cases have been found in the Badui community until now.

This is because the Badui community is very disciplined in obeying the advice of their traditional elders, with not many activities outside the region.

In addition, Badui residents continue to work on farms, so they do not have close contact with outsiders.

Likewise, the residential area of the Badui community has tightened health protocols for tourists. Tourists must wear masks, not crowd and not litter.

"We ask that the Badui area be tightened and all tourists must have their temperature checked and comply with health protocols to prevent corona," she continued.

The Cisimeut Health Center oversees services in six villages, but the only one who is disciplined and complies with the government program for public vaccination services for village officials is Jaro Saija who is vaccinated.

Meanwhile, officials in five other villages so far have not been vaccinated.

"We have reported it to the Head of the Leuwidamar sub-district so that they can be vaccinated," she said.

Meanwhile, Jaro Saija said the number of its citizens was recorded at 11,800 people spread across 68 villages so far no spread of COVID-19 was found.

The Badui community with the spread of coronavirus transmission is prohibited from leaving the area, such as Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bogor to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic.
