Less Than 5 Percent Of The Isolation Room In Bandung Remains

BANDUNG - The Bandung City COVID-19 Task Force stated that the occupancy rate of isolation rooms or Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) in several hospitals was 95.48 percent or less than 5 percent remaining.

"Hospital occupancy in Bandung City as of Tuesday, June 29, 2021, is 95.48 percent", said Mayor of Bandung Oded M Danial as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 30.

Meanwhile, on June 15, the number of beds for COVID-19 isolation in the city of Bandung amounted to 1,749 in various hospitals. Since then, the Task Force has continued to make additional beds.

As of June 29, there have been various additional beds with a total of 2,144 isolation beds provided. However, of that number, 2,047 beds are now occupied, leaving only 97 beds.

In the city of Bandung itself, 29 hospitals have become referrals for handling COVID-19, ranging from Regional Hospital, Hasan Sadikin Hospital, to other private hospitals.

Even so, Oded admitted that he is currently preparing the building of the former Mother and Child Special Hospital (RSKIA) in the Astanaanyar area to be used as an isolation room for COVID-19 patients.

"It has been discussed by the Secretary of State and his staff, the former RSKIA Astanaanyar building has been prepared", said Oded.
