PDTT Mendes Promise For Village Fund BLT Distribution To Be Completed 2 Days After Lebaran

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) noted that the Village Fund that has been distributed to the Village Treasury Account (RKD) has reached 76 percent or 56,993 villages of the total distribution plan in 74,953 villages. Because of this, Mendes PDTT Abdul Halim Iskandar targeted the distribution of Village Fund Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) to be completed 2 days after Eid Al-Fitr or Lebaran.

"Well, if you look at it from here, hopefully after Lebaran 1-2 days after that 100 percent of the villages that have the Special Village Deliberation (Musdesus) will channel their funds to beneficiary families," he said, in a video conference with journalists, Friday, May 22.

Furthermore, Abdul Halim explained, if you look at the graph of the BLT Village Fund distribution from May 20 to May 22, there is an increase in more than 14,000 villages.

"Alhamdulillah, there is already a meeting point. So at the beginning there was a very significant gap on May 4, May 11, it was getting farther away, we continued to look for the problems, found them. The problem is that many stagnate at the district level, we are making communication efforts. Allhamdulillah per May 18, the distribution shift began to rise, "he said.

From a total of 56,993 villages, 37,012 villages or 65 percent of the villages have distributed the Village Fund BLT. Meanwhile, villages that had a special village meeting (Musdesus) and had determined potential beneficiary families of the Village Fund BLT in 56,504 villages or 99 percent of 56,993.

Then, the villages that have organized a Musdesus and have determined prospective Beneficiary Families (KPM), but have not distributed BLT as many as 19,981 villages or 35 percent.

"If we don't have a Musdesus, maybe we can speed up the Musdesus. We can speed up the distribution of the Musdesus. We hope that in May all villages and all families who receive the Village Fund BLT beneficiaries have received the Village Fund channel for the first phase," he explained.

Until now, the realization of BLT beneficiary families was 3.80 million poor families with a total budget of IDR 2.28 trillion. Meanwhile, the province that had distributed 100 percent BLT was Bali, followed by Gorontalo with a total of 657 villages.

Then, Yogyakarta has distributed Village Fund BLT to 392 villages. Riau Islands has distributed to 275 villages and Central Sulawesi as many as 1,842 villages.

Abdul Halim said, when viewed from the number of villages, the largest village was in Central Java with 7,809 villages, followed by East Java with 7,724 villages and West Java with 5,312 villages.
