Blindly Swinging A Machete At The Police And Citizens, A Madman In Tangerang Was Shot Dead

TANGERANG - A resident of Kronjo Village, Kronjo District, Tangerang Regency, Banten with the initials MS (45) was forced to be shot dead by the police for going on a rampage attacking residents and police. MS is suspected of having mental disorders or people with mental disorders (ODGJ).

MS's attack with a machete was reported by a resident of Krojo Village, Hapid Hidayat (21).

"Officers then came under the leadership of the Kronjo Police Chief on Sunday, June 27 yesterday at around 19.00 WIB. After arriving at the location, suddenly the perpetrator came holding a machete," explained Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Wahyu S Bintoro in Tangerang as reported by Antara, Monday, 27 June.

Seeing the officer, MS then swung the machete he was holding. In fact, the officer had persuaded him in various ways so as not to attack blindly.

"In fact, the officers have persuaded them not to attack. The perpetrator swung a machete at the residents, fortunately he avoided retreating and was not hit," he said.

He said, during the attack, local police officers fired warning shots twice.

However, the perpetrator continued to rage and attack, so the officers were forced to immobilize MS with a shot that hit his waist.

"The perpetrator fell and was taken directly to the Balaraja Hospital, when he got there the perpetrator could not be helped," he said again.

He added that MS's body was immediately taken to the funeral home with the police escort. The plan is for the deceased to be buried at around 10.00 WIB at the TPU in Pegedangan Udik Village.
