JAKARTA - Regional Police (Polda) Metro Jaya has added 11 locations for the implementation of mobility restrictions in Jakarta and its surroundings. To continue to suppress the spread of COVID-19, an additional scheme is implemented, namely, mobility control in 14 locations.
"There are a total of 35 points in all jurisdictions of the Polda Metro Jaya covering Jakarta, Bekasi City-Regencies, Depok, and Tangerang", said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Monday, June 28.
The dozens of points are an accumulation of the previous ones, which only implemented mobility restrictions at 10 location points.
"It consists of 21 mobility restrictions and 14 mobility controls", said Sambodo.
Commissioner Sambodo also explained the difference between restriction and control of mobility. For restrictions means closing access to the outside and entry of an area. Only certain parties are allowed to enter and leave the area from 21.00 p.m. to 04.00 a.m. local time.
"Closing access in and out of certain road sections that have the potential to cause crowds, which are excluded for residents, health services, emergency services, and so on", he said.
