Luxurious House In Pondok Indah, Dharmawangsa Targeted By This Resident: Pry Windows And Knock Out Electronic Items

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police arrested a recidivist who committed theft in a number of luxury homes, such as in the Pondok Indah, Kebayoran Lama, and Dharmawangsa areas in Kebayoran Baru.

"We are investigating if there is another scene and it is very possible for us to find it again," said Head of the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Achmad Akbar in Jakarta as reported by Antara, Saturday, June 26.

The suspect named Ramdani was arrested on Friday, June 25 yesterday. Apparently, the perpetrator was a recidivist in a similar case and had languished in the Salemba Prison, Jakarta.

However, instead of deterring the suspect from committing theft in several luxury homes.

Previously, a victim who lived in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta, reported the theft on Wednesday, June 23 to the South Jakarta Metro Police. The victim then handed over the surveillance camera or CCTV around the house.

From the CCTV footage, the suspect took an electronic item, namely a tablet computer. "Thieves entered by climbing over the fence of the house and some parts of the house were taken out during the day," said Achmad.

The police are currently detaining Ramdani in the South Jakarta Metro Police detention cell for further questioning. He was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
