High Enthusiasm, Residents Participating In Mass Vaccination At GBK Exceeds Target Of 8,000 People To 11,500

JAKARTA - The enthusiasm of residents who took part in the mass vaccination specifically for the DKI Jakarta domicile ID card at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, South Jakarta, today is quite high.

Head of Hospital-Level TK II, Moh Ridwan Meuraksa, Colonel Ckm Puji Hartono, explained that the organizers are targeting 8,000 residents to come to GBK to participate in the COVID-19 vaccination. It turned out that 11,500 people came.

"We see together from our planned target of 8,000, today around 11,500 were present. This shows that the enthusiasm of the community is to be free from the COVID-19 pandemic. People want the pandemic to end soon", Puji said at the location, Saturday, June 26.

Seeing the high enthusiasm, Puji admitted that he was optimistic that DKI Jakarta Province would be able to meet the target given by President Joko Widodo. Jokowi targets the capital city to have vaccinated 7.5 million citizens in August.

"From the population of Jakarta who (to be targeted for vaccination) is around 8.8 million, God willing, before August 17, 2021, our target can be completed", he said.

As is known, the government held a "vaccination attack" program at GBK which started at 08.00 WIB - 12.00 WIB. The vaccine used is Sinovac brand. To participate in this vaccination, you must have an ID card or Jakarta domicile letter.
