Good News From North Sulawesi, A Total Of 15,242 People Are Declared Cured Of COVID-19

JAKARTA - The accumulation of residents of North Sulawesi (Sulut) who have been declared cured of COVID-19 continues to increase to 15,242 people after receiving health services.

"Today, an additional 29 people in North Sulawesi have recovered from COVID-19," said Spokesperson for the North Sulawesi COVID-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling, dr. Steaven Dandel MPH in Manado, as reported by Antara, Thursday, June 25.

A total of 29 recovered cases came from Manado city as many as 18 people and the rest from outside the region 11 people.

"The North Sulawesi Provincial Government's COVID-19 Task Force again reminds the public to re-increase the discipline of implementing health protocols," dr. Steaven reminded.

The daily cases of COVID-19 that increased today were as many as 20 cases, or fewer than the cases on Wednesday (23/6) which reached 47 people.

This daily case came from Manado as many as five people, while Bitung City (four people), and North Minahasa Regency, Minahasa Regency and Bolaang Mongondow Regency each had two people.

Furthermore, Tomohon City, South Minahasa Regency, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency, Sitaro Islands Regency, and Talaud Islands Regency have one case each.

Doctor Steaven added that the cumulative positive confirmed cases in the province of more than 2.6 million people had reached 16,057 people.

The first case in the province at the tip of Sulawesi was announced by the local government on March 14, 2020.

The case fatality rate is 3.43 percent with 552 deaths.

While the active cases which are still receiving treatment or self-isolation are 263 people or 1.65 percent
