Sad News From Lampung, A Total Of 1,139 People Died From COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Lampung Province noted that there had been an addition of 121 positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lampung, bringing the total to 20,655 cases in the area.

"There has been an addition of 121 people, increasing the total number from 20,534 cases to 20,655 cases," said Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihana in a written statement in Bandarlampung, reported by Antara, Thursday, June 24.

He explained that the additional cases consisted of 105 asymptomatic cases and 16 symptomatic cases.

"The addition of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 came from 11 regencies and cities in Lampung Province," he said.

He said there were 17 positive cases in Bandarlampung City, 3 cases in South Lampung Regency, 35 cases in East Lampung, 9 cases in North Lampung.

"Then 5 cases in Metro City, 3 cases in Mesuji, 11 cases in Tanggamus, 9 positive people in Pringsewu, Central Lampung and Pesawaran, 11 people in the West Coast," he said.

According to him, in addition to the addition of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19, there were also additions to 38 suspected cases, 2 probable people, 351 close contacts, and 358 travelers.

"There is also an increase in the number of deaths by 5 people, bringing the total to 1,139 cases," he said.

He continued that the five deaths due to COVID-19 came from Bandar Lampung City 1 person, East Lampung Regency 2 people, and Central Lampung 2 people.

It is also known that the risk zone for the spread of COVID-19 in Lampung Province now has 2 yellow zones, and 13 other areas with orange zones.
