South Kalimantan Police Hunts Robbers Who Fooled Citizens' Money Of IDR 100 Million And 22 Grams Of Gold

JAKARTA - The South Kalimantan Regional Police are currently hunting for a gang of armed robbers who acted in Kotabaru Regency, injuring the victim and stealing IDR 100 million in cash and 22.5 grams of gold jewelry.

"The team is still in the field chasing the perpetrators who are allegedly still in the Kotabaru area," said Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of Jatanras Directorate of General Crime Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police AKBP Andy Rahmansyah in Banjarmasin, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 23.

It is known that the robbery took place on Friday, June 11. A group of unidentified people raided a house owned by Suparno (52) in Lintang Jaya Village, North Pamukan District, Kotabaru Regency.

In addition to taking care of money and gold jewelry, the victim also suffered serious injuries to his neck and head due to being stabbed by a sharp weapon.

From the location of the victim's house, the homemade firearms belonging to the perpetrators were left behind. Police also estimate the robbers still have more guns.

Upon the discovery of the firearm, Team 2 of the Jatanras Opsnal Unit of the South Kalimantan Police, aka the South Kalimantan Tigers, led by Iptu Endris, were deployed to back up the Kotabaru Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the North Pamukan Police Criminal Investigation Unit to pursue the perpetrators.

In pursuing the criminal group, the police were equipped with long-barreled firearms because it was feared that there would be resistance from the perpetrators who also had homemade firearms.

Andy appealed to the perpetrators to surrender before decisive and measurable action was taken if they were caught.
