COVID-19 Task Force Operates Isolation At The Cilincing Nagrak Flats

JAKARTA - The Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling operates an independent isolation facility at the Nagrak Flats (Rusun), Cilincing, North Jakarta starting this afternoon.

"At the latest this afternoon we will open (self-isolation facilities) here", said the Field Commander of the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Colonel drg M Arifin as quoted by Antara, Monday, June 21.

Arifin admitted that he was ordered directly by the Head of the COVID-19 Task Force to help open the self-isolation place for asymptomatic COVID-19 sufferers in Jakarta.

"On the advice of the Head of the National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) Task Force, I was ordered directly here to coordinate and help", said Arifin.

He ensured that a number of signs that read the red zone area had been installed as markers so that no one approached the self-isolation location.

Arifin explained that the marker was to minimize potential contact between patients in self-isolation locations (Tower 1-5 Rusun Nagrak) and non-self-isolated residents (Tower 11-14 Rusun Nagrak) in order to avoid potential transmission of COVID-19.

According to him, the location of Tower 1-5 is also far from Tower 11-14. To ensure safety, a number of joint officers were also deployed to monitor self-isolated patients so as not to cross into inhabited areas.

"So patients are prohibited from crossing into residential areas", said Arifin.

"We are working together, we are all working together now, the important thing is that we work together to overcome this", said Arifin.
