West Lombok Police Chief, AKBP Bagus S. Wibowo said the arrested perpetrators had the initials AA (50), a resident of Hamlet slap Ampar, Jontelak Village, Praya District, Central Lombok.

"This means that the buyers of these suspects are assumed or made like taxi passengers, this is a very neat modus operandi in our opinion, which is adapted to their routine activities," continued AKBP Bagus.

"We have a strong suspicion that this suspect is one of the major airports in West Lombok Regency," he said.

From the suspect's provisional statement, AA has carried out drug transactions three times.

"Aside from being a drug dealer, the perpetrator is also active in consuming the illicit goods, and from the perpetrator's confession, the profits from the sale of these drugs are used to consume drugs," he explained.

The police confiscated a number of evidences of white crystal powder suspected of being methamphetamine, weighing 17.2 grams gross.

"The following tools were used by the suspect for drug trafficking, in the form of weighing equipment, tools for using methamphetamine, and some money with a total value of approximately Rp. 8 million," said AKBP Bagus.

The suspect is currently being held at the West Lombok Police. Police are still developing their investigation.

"We suspect that Articles 112, 114 and 127 of Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics with a maximum penalty of 20 years," he concluded.

Meanwhile, suspect AA admitted that he had made three drug transactions. "The ones who buy are usually college kids, with a profit of IDR 900 thousand per gram and I use the goods while selling them," he said.
