JAKARTA - The defendant in the swab test case at the UMMI Hospital, Rizieq Shihab, said that the statement from the Public Prosecutor's Team (JPU) regarding his status as the High Priest was just a figment and could be considered as a challenge by his supporters.

Rizieq made this statement in a trial with a duplicate agenda at the East Jakarta District Court.

"I regret that the prosecutor's replica was opened with such a trivial but not trivial matter, so that the entire public prosecutor's replica was filled and filled with emotional excitement from such a trivial but not trivial matter," Rizieq said during the trial, Thursday, June 17.

"A trivial but not trivial matter that I mean is when the prosecutor arrogantly and arrogantly and hatefully stated in the opening replica on page 2. It turns out that what is being touted as a high priest is just a figment," continued Rizieq.

Then, Rizieq emphasized that he had never declared himself as the High Priest. But the status presented itself.

"Dear Prosecutors, please know that I have never referred to myself as a High Priest, let alone declared myself a High Priest, because I know and realize very well how many shortcomings and mistakes I have, so I also think that I am not worthy to be called a High Priest. " said Rizieq.

However, that High Priest status was bestowed by his supporters. Thus, the prosecutor's statement was worried that it would provoke the emotions of his supporters to surround the East Jakarta Court.

"I'm even more worried that the public prosecutor's insults will be interpreted by Indonesian Muslims as a challenge, so that it will be a driving force for their enthusiasm to come and attend and surround the East Jakarta District Court from all over to witness the final trial, namely the verdict trial," said Rizieq. .

Previously reported, the prosecutor referred to Rizieq's statement that the prosecutor was only used as a tool for the oligarchs as a baseless accusation. Thus, the statement is inappropriate.

Moreover, Rizieq Shihab's social status, who is called the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) should be an example of good attitude and speech.

"Without a filter, sentences like this were uttered by the defendant and should not have been said who claimed to have kulkarimah character, but the defendant easily used harsh words as above," said the prosecutor.
