Kim Jong-un's Hidden Message While Riding The Paektu Mountains

JAKARTA - The actions of the leader of this country are often the world's attention. This time the supreme leader of North Korea (North Korea) Kim Jong-un is reported to be riding a white horse, after holding a plenary meeting of the North Korean Workers' Party around the Paektu Mountains.

It is also reported that Kim Jong-un will soon make a big decision, to reject the confrontation that is being carried out by the world, or more specifically; rejects the confrontation of the United States (US), regarding denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

"That Pyongyang chose to hold this meeting before the end of the year shows strong determination. Holding a party plenary and a visit to Mount Paektu simultaneously shows determination that North Korea will not surrender to the US and continues despite difficulties," said Rachel Minyoung Lee, an analyst with NK News.

Interestingly, in October 2019, Kim Jong-un also rode along the border area around the Paektu Mountains. Kim Jong-un visits the region, often when he wants to do big things like launch missiles and nuclear tests.

This time, Kim Jong-un's equestrian activity took him out with senior military members. Not just horse riding, the inviting of the military personnel indicates that there is a "spirit of revolution" in society, the North Korean news agency KCNA said, quoted by Reuters, Wednesday 4 December.

In addition, Kim Jong-un's decision to ride with military personnel rather than party members also reinforces media claims that North Korea will now become a more military-style country.

"The trip aims to instill 'tireless revolutionary zeal' in North Korea in the face of an unprecedented blockade and pressure exerted by the imperialists," wrote the Korea Central News Agency.

Kim Jong-un had previously warned the United States that by the end of 2019, it would offer more permission to restart stalled denuclearization talks. North Korea has also said it will offer a "new route", which is thought to involve relaunching an intercontinental ballistic missile or a nuclear test.

The United States has asked North Korea to give up a significant part of its nuclear arsenal before it slows international sanctions. However, this US attitude made North Korea call the US acting like a gangster who unilaterally disarmed.
