Police Still Researching Report Of Former PSI Spokesperson Who Claims To Be Threatened By Andi Arief

JAKARTA - Former PSI Spokesperson, Dedek Prayudi alias Uki, reported the Twitter account @Andiarief_ which was strongly suspected to belong to the Chairman of the Bappilu of the Democratic Party, Andi Arief, to Polda Metro Jaya. The police are still investigating the report.

"We are still investigating because the reported account is @Andiarief_," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Wednesday, June 16.

The report is still being investigated because Dedek Prayudi only reported the case on June 15. The report was registered with the number LP/B/3083/VI/2021/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya.

"The person concerned did not accept the account's tweet on social media, so the person concerned reported the account, which we received the police report yesterday," said Yusri.

In the process, investigators will examine whether there is a criminal violation as reported. Otherwise, the report will not be followed up.

"We will research first and then we will find out whether the investigation will be carried out or not according to what is suspected in the ITE Law," he said.

For information, this problem began when a politician from the Cipta Panca Democratic Party commented on Uki's tweet that discussed state finances.

Then, Uki responded by uploading photos and news links when Andi Arief was raided at the hotel some time ago.

Until finally, Andi Arief uploaded a tweet that was accused of being a form of threat by Uki.

"This child is dead, I don't know myself. Just wait, I'll find his house, it's not that difficult. Don't blame me if I choose street justice," wrote @Andiarief_
