Social Minister Risma Style Lunch At Warung Pecel Madiun

JAKARTA - Mayor of Madiun Maidi hosted Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini for lunch at Warung Nasi Pecel Bu Wo on Jalan Letjen S Parman, Madiun City on the sidelines of his working visit to Ponorogo Regency, East Java.

"The agenda is to go to Ponorogo. This is just stopping by and wanting pecel rice. He really likes pecel, he said," Mayor Maidi said while entertaining Social Minister Risma in Madiun, reported by Antara, Monday, June 14.

During the lunch, Social Minister Risma took some side dishes. Starting with eggs, bacon and plates.

Maidi said that Pecel Madiun was already well known. Everyone who has ever eaten pecel must have longed to eat again. Especially if you are in Madiun City.

That's because Pecel Madiun is unique, different from the pecel sauce in other areas. This peculiarity has made Madiun City a Pecel City.

"For pecel in other areas, kencur and others are added. So the taste is different. People who have eaten Pecel Madiun will definitely miss this food," he said.

He added, Pecel Madiun is also one of the mandatory menus for guests who visit Madiun City Hall. This is one of the efforts of the Mayor of Maidi to promote Pecel Madiun.

In a series of commemorations of Madiun's anniversary, the pecel festival is also always colored. However, the activity had to be postponed on the anniversary this year because it was still in the atmosphere of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"If there was no pandemic, we would have held many events. Of course, the pecel festival is one of the events in it," said Maidi.

Meanwhile, in hosting Social Minister Risma, Mayor Maidi was accompanied by the Madiun City Police Chief, Madiun Police Chief, Dandim 0803 Madiun, and the ranks of the Madiun City Government.

After having lunch at Warung Nasi Pecel Bu Wo, Social Minister Risma and her entourage immediately went to Ponorogo Regency. In Reog City, the former mayor of Surabaya attended the Technical Guidance for District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK).

The Minister of Social Affairs also handed over attention assistance from Balai Abiyoso Cimahi in the form of a unit of a Portable Braille Printer worth Rp. 80 million to the Aisyiyah Ponorogo Foundation.
