BNN Sultra Arrest 3 Shabu Dealers Related To Kendari Prison Network Jaringan

KENDARI - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) has revealed three shabu-shabu dealers in Kendari City, two of whom are suspected of being a network of Class IIA Kendari Penitentiary.

The head of the Southeast Sulawesi BNNP Brigadier General Sabaruddin Ginting said the three suspects arrested by his side, namely initial Z (19), and another suspect namely AD (18) were controlled by an inmate at Kendari Class IIA Prison initials R (35).

"From the results of the officers' investigation, information was obtained that the suspect AD took narcotics type methamphetamine on the orders of a Kendari Class IIA prison inmate with the initials R," said Ginting, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 14.

He explained that suspect Z was arrested on Thursday, June 10 at 21.00 WITA in Lapulu Market, Jalan Setia Budi, Lapulu Village, Abeli District, Kendari with 47.19 grams of shabu-shabu confiscated as evidence.

Meanwhile, the suspect AD was arrested on June 11 at 08.20 WITA on Jalan Chairil Anwar, Lorong Durian, Wua-wua Village, Wua-wua District, Kendari. Based on the results of the investigation, he took 8.58 grams of methamphetamine on the orders of inmate R.

"After the team developed and coordinated with Kendari Prison, at that time the prison officers turned out to have confiscated one cell phone of prisoner R, suspected of being a device used to control the Army," he said.

According to Ginting, the two suspects initials Z and DA are currently in the BNNP Sultra Rutan, while prisoner R is still in Kendari Class IIA Prison, but his party has coordinated with the prison.

"Currently, the suspects are in the process of being investigated to be handed over to the public prosecutor," he said.

Suspect Z is subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Meanwhile, the suspect DA is subject to Article 132 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 127 paragraph (1) letter a of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. "With the threat of the death penalty, life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of six years and a maximum of 20 years," he said.
