Micro PPKM Extended Until June 28, Offices In Red Zone Must WFH 75 Percent

JAKARTA - The government has extended the implementation of micro-scale community activity restrictions (PPKM) from June 15 to 28.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Chair of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KCPPEN) Airlangga Hartatao said the extension of the micro PPKM was carried out taking into account the development of risk zoning in each region.

Airlangga said that offices or business places that are in the red zone or high risk of COVID-19 must apply 75 percent of employees to work from home or work from home (WFH).

"This is for the red zone area, the work from home is 75 percent. So for areas based on the red PPKM Micro (zone) the office is 25 percent," Ailrangga said after a limited meeting with President Jokowi at the State Palace, Monday, June 14.

However, said Airlangga, employees who implement work from home (WFH) and work from office (WFO) must be rotated.

"This means that the 25 percent are not the same ones but must be rotated so as to ensure that those who work from office [WFO] take turns and ensure that the workers are on standby at their respective places of work," he said.

Then for areas with orange (medium risk) and yellow (low risk) zones, the proportion of WFO and WFH is the same as the previous provision, which is 50 percent.

Meanwhile, teaching and learning activities follow what has been decided by the Ministry of Education. However, sub-districts for the red zone must study online 100 percent online for two weeks.

For restaurant and mall activities, the provisions are still the same as in the previous period, which is open until 21.00 with a capacity of 50 percent and the implementation of stricter health protocols.

In addition, places of worship in red areas (zones) or sub-districts (zones) are also closed for two weeks. The implementation of Phase X of Micro PPKM will be regulated through the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri).

"Regarding the red areas (zones), including Kudus, then also Bangkalan and several regions, the Minister of Home Affairs Instruction will soon be issued and each region to make decisions in the province and in their respective districts/cities, ” he added.
